Therefore, glipizide should be administered 1-2 hours before cholestyramine is administered. Fluconazole (Diflucan) may increase the absorption and therefore increase the effect of glipizide. Side EffectsNausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, constipation, upset stomach, headache, and weight gain may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
